  1. Copy all files to a subdirectory such as C:\4th86

  3. You can then run 4TH86DEM.COM and use the on-screen tutorial.

  5. Alternatively read INTRO.4TH to get details of configuring 4th_86.

  7. DISK.NDX lists the files and their function.

  10. Because of a request that colored text be used to replace white o black; two 
  11. new words have been added -- COLORTEXT and PLAINTEXT
  12.  
  13. COLORTEXT is configured to give as default yellow text on a blue background. 
  14. The color can be changed using the command  xxx GCOLR !   where xxx is the 
  15. numeric value for the color you prefer.

  17. PLAINTEXT will return to white on black.
  18.  
  19. These words should only be used in FULLSCREEN mode. While they will do no 
  20. harm if used in SPLITSCREEN or tutorial mode -- they will de-activate the 
  21. paging and windowing built into the tutorial text -- and they will not 
  22. properly de-activate the F1 and F2 key useage.
